Thoughts and Prayers to our Filipino Community

Donald’s Fine Foods is deeply saddened and heartbroken to learn about the horrific and tragic event that occurred on April 26, 2025, during the Lapu Lapu event that celebrates independence and courage. We join all Canadians in condemning this needless and senseless act that has taken the lives of at least eleven people and injured many more.

We extend our deepest condolences to the families and friends of those killed and pray for those injured at this event. As a family-owned business and a major employer of Filipino-Canadians, we recognize the family values and contributions of Canada’s Filipino community and stand with you during this difficult time of mourning. We are committed to offering support and assistance in any way possible and remind our employees of the company’s Employee Family Assistance Program (EFAP) should they require assistance with handling the emotional impact of this tragic event.
