We are currently looking for an Electrician to join our team based out of our location ins Richmond.

Brief Job Description:
The Electrician is responsible for the repair and maintenance of the facility. Working with the Maintenance Team, the Electrician helps ensure all machinery is running safely and the plant is operating in compliance with regulations. All maintenance work will be carried out with efficiency, while having the highest priority on safety.

Responsibilities:

  • Performs maintenance, repairs and trouble-shoots packaging and meat processing equipment.
  • Maintains tests systems (e.g. Motors).
  • Experience and knowledge of electrical systems and blueprints.
  • Connects and installs motors; use of electrical meter.
  • Assists in maintaining equipment (e.g. pumps, etc) for the purpose of ensuring equipment is in proper working conditions.
  • Maintains records for the purpose of providing an up-to-date reference trail and complying with mandated requirements.
  • Assists with the setup and movement of equipment as required.
  • Reads and interprets equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
  • Diagnoses problems, replaces or repairs parts, tests and makes adjustments.
  • Performs regular preventive maintenance on machine, equipment and facility.
  • Uses a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment in performing duties.
  • Follows all current GMP’s and quality specifications of manufacturing in a food facility.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Experience in a food processing environment beneficial.
  • Red Seal Electrician Certificate required.
  • Ability to prioritize workload and effectively meet deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written) in English.
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a highly organized fashion with attention to detail and accuracy.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $41.00 per hour

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday
  • Weekends as needed
